Want to know how the final raw rice comes to your home? Following is the procedure of how harvested paddy that consists of the husk, bran, germ and starch are cleaned and prepared for packing and distribution.
The first stage is dedicated for rejecting any unwanted matter from the collected paddy.
After the basic paddy cleaning process, the accepted lot will undergo the husking step where the rough outer layer of cellulose that is protecting grain of rice is completely removed.
After husking the remains will go through the Husk separator. It is done through sieve or ventilation. When passing through the intended huge opening, the much heavier brown rice will remain, while the less heavy husk will be carried off to a safer distance.
The separated brown rice will be directed to go through the whitening process, by removing the densely wrapped bran layer where majority of the vitamins take refuge in.
After going through the polishing process until the standard colour is obtained, the milled grains will once again go through the Grader, which removes deformed, broken bits and pieces of grains.
Once the unwanted and deformed grains are removed, they will be sorted according to its colour by taking a trip through colour sorter.
The surviving lot of processed raw grains, are packed and distributed across the nation, or stored in our well maintained warehouses.
